TEHRAN -- Dr. Assadollah Afshari Saleh said that on average about 102 people are killed in traffic accidents every day in Iran, adding that the average age of the victims is 36.

He stated that about 37,000 people are killed in traffic accidents annually in Iran.

Referring to the country's high rate of fatal traffic accidents, he added that efforts should be made to prevent or at least decrease the number of accidents caused by reckless driving.
